NEWS: Mason challenges new colleagues

JOURNEYMAN Andy Mason has laid the gauntlet down to his new Mill Street Blues FC team-mates by claiming he WILL make the starting five.

The fringe player said: "Heavy rain is forecasted for training on Saturday - that will separate the men from the boys.

"[Simon] Perry may have the razzle-dazzle, but can he compete with my work ethic?"

Mason claimed his his grittiness is ideal for London City's basement division and said: "I'm the Richard Hughes of Powerleague Division Four."

With doubts surrounding the fitness of Tom "The Fish" Hope and Emilio Caturla still at the Copa America, Mason has a great chance of forcing his way into manager Nick Pearce's plans.

  2. Andy has been a great servant to the team but I for one think it is an absolute disgrace that he has allowed his fitness to deteriorate to the point where his main exercise comes from wanking off tramps for jukebox money. If you want first team football, you've got to earn it. Ronandinho knew it, Ronaldo (the fat one) knew it. Now he must learn the same lesson.
